I met Valentina Renesto, manager of the ExclusIVe Saxophone Quartet in 2016. I had written for them two of the 3 movements of Saxo4 then, commissioned by Cluster. At the end of the premiere, I went to congratulate and thank them for the excellent performance, and since then we are exquisite friends and colleagues. Saxo4, along with many other pieces for different formations, has been performed numerous times, and music for saxophone, a little out of necessity and a little out of passion, has become my specialty.
